About The Department

Civil engineering department is one of the oldest departments in the institute with its beginning in 2006. Civil Engineering is considered to be the most versatile branch among all the engineering branches. It is the branch with a lot of diversity. Civil Engineering can be considered as a single largest branch among all the engineering branches. The Department of Civil Engineering since its formation is committed to research and development in Societal Infrastructure. The department offers courses at B.Tech. Programme. Besides high quality teaching and instruction at UG level, the Department is actively involved in basic and applied research and consultancy and provides high quality technical advisory support through various R D projects and consultancy to various organizations. The Department of Civil Engineering with its multifaceted faculty continues to maintain and cultivate its strong links with the infrastructural industry and academic and research institutions.

To develop a vibrant and comprehensive graduate program with a proper blend of modern and industry endorsed curriculum, quality faculty and staff, field and industrial training to prepare budding engineers with state of the art knowledge for professional practice in civil engineering, guided by strong conviction towards morality and ethics.


To rely on basic engineering sciences and contemporary computational tools for strengthening fundamental precepts of success for our students and to create congenial environment for interaction amongst students, faculty and technical staff to facilitate open thinking and learning process to maintain pace with the latest and most sophisticated innovations, research and development in the field of civil engineering within the ambit of sustainable development.

Environment Engineering

The major research areas under this specialization include air quality modeling in urban transport and industrial environment, environmental noise modeling, water quality modeling, biodegradation of industrial wastewater, removal of heavy metals from wastewater, sludge treatment by physiochemical and biological process.

Geotechnical Engineering

The major research areas under this specialization include soil behavior, shallow and deep foundations, reinforced soil structures, landslides, constitutive modeling, soil dynamics, analysis and design of machine foundations, engineering seismology, wave propagation, seismic site characterization, seismic soil-structure interaction, seismic stability of slopes and retaining walls, design of offshore foundations, field instrumentation and testing, ground improvement techniques, geo-environmental engineering.

Infrastructure Engineering and Management

The major research areas under this specialization include Public Private Partnerships, Risk Management, Building Information Modeling, Governance in PPP, Sustainable Infrastructure, Competency Enhancement, Project Finance,Durability studies in concrete, Sustainable construction materials, Corrosion of steel, Reinforcement and Protection Measures, High Performance Concrete, Non-destructive Testing of Concrete Structures, Construction Management, Construction Finance.

Structural Engineering

The major research areas under this specialization include structural dynamics, bridge engineering, wind induced vibration & control, non-destructive techniques, passive and semi-active control of buildings, performance based seismic design, system identification & structural health monitoring, seismic damage assessment, finite element mesh generation, optimization, retrofitting of structures, spectral finite element methods, structural reliability, fluid-structure interaction, seismic analysis of concrete dam, cost-effective housing.

Transportation Engineering

The major research areas under this specialization include characterization of pavement materials, pre-cast concrete block pavement, cast-in-situ concrete block pavement, pavement design, structural and functional evaluation of pavements, traffic engineering and issues related to road safety.

Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering

The major research areas under this specialization include meso-scale distributed hydrological modeling, satellite remote sensing and GIS for water resources management, computational river hydraulics and its applications, watershed and irrigation management, flow through porous media, stochastic sub-surface hydrology, rainfall modeling, modeling & simulation in free surface flow, heuristic method in reservoir optimization, GIS based watershed modeling, Dam Break Analysis.

Earth System Science and Engineering

The major research areas under this specialization include study of sediment dynamics in fluvial systems, environmental impact/risk assessment & management, meso-scale distributed hydrological modeling, petrophysical modelling for petroleum exploration, advance remote sensing (hyperspectral, thermal and microwave) and GIS techniques for the earth and planetary exploration, airborne remote sensing (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) for mapping and exploration, synthetic simulation, sensor calibration, airborne and terrestrial LiDAR, thermography, development of lumped parameter models, and flight planning.

Department of Civil Engineering at Accurate Institute of Management and Technology was established in 2006 and has continually upgraded itself in terms of academic programs and research infrastructure including well equipped laboratories. The department attracts the finest young and dynamic faculty members and the best of the students for its Bachelor programs. Students are exposed to well-defined academic programs along with a host of sports, cultural and organizational activities in a vibrant and beautiful campus .Our graduates have been selected by leading firms and research/academic institutes. Industrial Visit

Every semester our department arranges industrial visits to make students familiar with practical knowledge of theoretical concepts and real working environment.

Site visit to Supertech, jewar was held 27 march 2017 conducted by department of civil engineering, the objective of visit was to make the student aware of practical application of theoretical knowledge.


The industries are always looking for energetic and vibrant fresher students who would easily be involved in the new environment, and ready to accept challenges with good communicative skills.

Pro. The expertise's demonstrates the practical application and importance of these software’s in modern infrastructure practices.

A seminar on FUTURE ON EMPLOYABILITY IN REAL STATE SECTOR conducted by civil engineering department in collaboration with RICS, AMITY UNIVERSITY. The aim of seminar was to make the students aware about the future of Real State.
